Great Writers – A Reflection

The featured image I choose for this reflection is a text from my dear friend Susie Z…Susie and I spent years going to recovery meetings…Susie is very pleased with my recovery process…What is so wonderful and sweet about our friendship is this…When Susie and I first met we got along right away and saw this light in each other…Now Susie was sick and tired of having friends with Mental Illness or Mental trouble because folks with Mental trouble can be difficult…Susie was not aware at the time of our encounter that I have mental trouble…I can be very moody ask my family they would know…As Susie and I got to know each other Susie shared that she struggles with mood and some mental trouble…Susie thought that I had no mental trouble and Susie shared this aspect of her story with me which took a lot of courage and trust…I lost no time telling Susie that I understand because I too have mental trouble…Susie was surprised by my admission of struggling with mental health…But this part of our story united us rather than divided us because we were more comfortable as friends and we could understand each other much easier as the years passed…I dedicate this post for Mental Health…There is no shame in having mental health trouble…That scam artist I wrote about in my previous post did not know when to stop texting me…So to test this bad man and he is very bad I sent a suicide text to tell him that if he does not cease and desist texting me that I would kill myself and my baby…I told him I might be pregnant…That did not stop him he replied to my text…Some people have a lot of nerve they have no conscience care or concern that when they scam people they destroy real people’s lives…The good news for me is this…He got no money from me…He got no honey from me…He got nothing from me and I reported him to our excellent local police department who were kind enough to check on my well being and also showed me how to block his phone number…My phone is an android and I had no idea how to block phone numbers…I would also like to dedicate this post to the local police department where I live who have done an excellent job of making me feel welcome and cared for…I graduated from the local citizen’s police academy and they are very welcoming and kind and understanding of mental health…What I bring to the table is this…It is not a crime to have metal health issues and we need to change the dialogue surrounding mental health…So as to stop shaming folks who struggle with mood…I have also some positive news to share…”Students reporting alarming snap chat conversation may have thwarted a school shooting” [— https://www.yahoo.com/news/students-reporting-alarming-snapchat-messages-102609153.html—%5D — We all need to hear good news for a change because many of us are sick and tired of bad news…I sure as hell am just plain tired of all the scammers and haters out there…To those students who may have thwarted that diabolical attack…Well Done…We need to stop spreading hate and instead spread more love…As a thank you for your follows likes and shares enjoy more YouTube Stuff…
