My Grandfather’s Poems – A Reflection

Fond memories are often all we have left of family life as we grow older…I am no exception…I thought it would be nice to share my Grandfather’s poetry with the world…My grandfather Philip O’Reilly was a farmer and when he published his poetry he used a pen name…The locals had no idea it was him who published poetry…My grandfather did this because he knew the locals would not take him seriously and would think him a fool…Rather than type out all of grandfather’s poems in a blog post…I decided to recite my grandfather’s poems and letters because they are of historical significance to my family to the history of Ireland…I dedicate this post to the Irish to Ireland and to the Princes of Breifne also known as Ui Breifne Tuatha De Danann…
