The Harp – A Reflection

The featured image I choose for this reflection is a photo of my very small harp that I purchased from the local music store a few days ago…In my recent post about Mandalas I wrote about how I tried something new over three years ago now which was my blog and you tube channels…I decided to search for a harp as part of maintaining my roots as my tribe is known as ones who play the harp…I hope to purchase a large harp one day but for now I settled for this darling small harp…When I strum the strings it sounds like it needs to be tuned something I have no clue how to do…It also sounds very Asian in its style and I love Asian style music…I do write my own tunes and my own songs and I discovered that when I pluck some of the strings I find parts of my tunes in those strings then I strum…I never played the harp before so this is all new to me…We are never too old to try new things…I do not have to be brilliant or the best at what I do but trying new things is fun…I hope you enjoy my recent little harp sounds…I am also learning how to record my own songs with my own tune as background music…This is also something new for me…The way I do this is very basic so I hope you enjoy some of my latest songs sung to my own tune…

Something else new for me is combining my new tunes with songs…The steps I take are as follows…First I record the tune then I record the song with the tune playing as background music…

The Our Father in song to my tune…
