Support Black Owned Business – Be The Change – I Agree

The featured image I choose for this reflection is to give space on my blog for our beloved and fine Black Communities who are sick and tired of years of abuse and injustice…Now I will not purchase Cardi B Snacks because of my diet I simply cannot eat them…But my message is strong in that we must support Black Owned Businesses whenever possible…I always have supported all kinds of businesses and I love to try new things…I am very adventurous by nature…Locally where I live I used a website unique to the lovely state of Texas…On this website they now share with our community where I live some suggestions for trying Black Owned Businesses…I was so excited and happy to see this because I will try anything at least once as long as it is good for me to try…You are reading about a woman who at the age of 19 visited China and as a guest I tried a unique fruit that tasted yucky but I tried it as part of the welcoming I received which was a very warm and kindhearted welcome from the lovely family I stayed with…If my friend Tracy Chan whose married name is different now ever stumbles upon this post I dedicate this post to my dear college friend from back in the day Tracy Chan who is now a very successful real estate agent married to her sweetheart from China and a mother of at least two children…Sorry if I got the number of children wrong but Tracy Chan is an example of immigrants like myself I am Irish who come to the USA feeling grateful and glad to be a part of the USA and like Tracy Chan all of us work our asses off…I put myself through six years of college and it was during my college years that I met Tracy Chan who is a credit to her hardworking parents whom I had the honor and privilege of meeting during my time in Hong Kong China…I get it I totally went off on a tangent so time to refocus this wee reflection…I was so excited to see this change that I looked and saw three new restaurant options for Black Owned Businesses…I tried a local Restaurant and the food was divine it was better N my own momma’s cooking and my mum is an excellent cook…I am talking this restaurant up to anyone who will listen locally and I tease the students when I share the name of this restaurant…I challenge them to try this amazing restaurant and see is their cooking better N their momma’s kitchen…I leave it to the customer to speak to that…I am telling you the food was delicious…I had their chicken dinner and their meatloaf dinner…I purchased a large meal and got two meals out of it…The next Black Owned Business that I intend to try is a New Orleans style restaurant…For many of us immigrants we have no idea what is around us or what food to try as many of us are clueless…I am often in my own small Irish world…It is awesome to see Texas adding Black Owned Businesses because we already have tuns of yummy Chinese restaurants and Indian Restaurants and Hispanic Restaurants and some Irish Restaurants as well as other nations too many to list here represented fairly well here in the USA…I am happy to see Black Owned Businesses added to the list of choices…I also dedicate this post to our beloved Black Communities who have suffered repression for far too long now…My message is this using my Irish sense of humor which is crazy I get it…You better support all businesses because tis a melting pot here in the USA so we must all get with the program…You better give our Black Owned Businesses a leg up a high five and our support for if you do not the Irish will summon the Cracken and other odd things and it will not go well for those who oppress our beloved Black Communities or any other group for that matter not just our beloved Black Communities…What I say here is not meant to be taken seriously…I am a creative writer so I express myself in a creative manner not meant to be taken literally or seriously at all…However, I am very literal and serious in my own support of our beloved Black Owned Businesses…I will share some Cardi B songs that I like at the end of this reflection…Let us all give it up for Cardi B who is very talented and for our Black Communities who have had enough tis time to stop the oppression of all peoples especially our Black Neighbors and Our Black Communities…Can I get an Amen Sista!!!…I would like to tell you about the amazing Black People that I met over the years who inspire me…I got to see Mohammed Ali’s Daughter Laila Ali win a lightweight boxing match in Upstate New York years ago…It was incredible watching Laila in the boxing ring…Laila is a force to contend with and I have no doubt she would have knocked me out with one punch cause a boxer I am not…My favorite quotes by Mohammed Ali are…”Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.” Mohammed Ali — “Don’t Count The Days Make The Days Count.” Mohammed Ali — “Float like a butterfly sting like a bee.” Mohammed Ali…I also got to meet Mike Tyson in Albany New York during his time of required court appearances during the Robin Givens case…I met him in a small cafe he had people with him and this was during a time in Mike Tyson’s life when the media was tearing him to shreds and making him look like a monster to the world…I walked up to this hulk of a man and asked to shake his hand…I did this to show Mr. Tyson that we are all only human we all make mistakes in life and as long as we learn from our mistakes and change for the better that is all that matters…When Mr. Tyson walked into that cafe his face was facing downwards he had a look of shame on his face…That is what the media does to people…Mr. Tyson’s face beamed with a bright smile when I asked if I could shake his hand…Mr. Tyson’s hands are huge that man is a force to contend with and I understand by virtue of meeting this great man how it is he did so well in the boxing world…Mr. Tyson beamed the brightest smile you would ever wish to see and said to me and I quote Mike Tyson here..”What’s up sista?” That moved me because being from Ireland I was not used to the melting pot that is the USA but meeting Mr. Mike Tyson brightened my afternoon that day in Albany New York and I am grateful his day was brightened too…I am sorry that Robin Givens suffered and I do not condone or promote violence or abuse of any kind…It is my hope that Mr. Mike Tyson has learned from his mistakes so as to become a better man…No one deserves abuse full stop…If Robin Givens saw the look of shame on Mr. Mike Tyson’s face that day in Albany New York then Robin would know that Justice was being done and we can all hope that Mr. Tyson learned from this experience so as to become a better man…Members of the Black Community who inspire me both living and deceased…Martin Luther King – A peaceful man who promoted peaceful protests and solutions instead of senseless violence and riots…I did not work on Martin Luther King Day this year I took the day off and spoke with my son about the strong and good man Martin Luther King was…The Black Panther political movement had strong intentions to reduce Police Brutality intentions I agree with though I denounce violence in any form as our Police suffer too and we have many fine Black men and women who serve in our Police something we must remember and respect…Violence begets violence peaceful protests and peaceful discourse towards a solution is the ideal and preferred way to negotiate peace…I love Whoopi Goldberg because she is bold and tenacious and audacious…I admire Oprah Winfrey and her story resonates with me for many reasons…There are many modern famous Black men and women whose music I enjoy and whose political and social presence I welcome and enjoy…Too many to list here…From the history books I admire Rosa Parks…Rosa Parks is amazing and will remain an icon in my eyes for her simplicity and her courage the day she got on that bus during the terrible segregation days in the deep south…Maya Angelou who passed away not long ago may she rest in peace…Maya Angelou is my favorite poet and I love her poem titled “Still I Rise”…Maya’s story resonates with me too and her poem “Still I Rise” resonates with me also…Before I forget I must add that I admire the Obama’s both Michelle and former President Barack Obama…I admire their poise their oratory skills and their hobbies one of which is story telling or reading children’s stories which is lovely…I have yet to purchase the book titled “The Audacity Of Hope” by then Senator Barack Obama…I will get that book…In fact I will likely visit the local library near me named after one of our former Presidents to obtain a copy of The Audacity Of Hope to read it…I will get that done so help me God…I also have a mind to write a crazy song titled Trump N Pelosi – where I sing about what if those two could just get along and where I challenge Pelosi to sell her private jet and Trump to sell his dirty rotten casinos and to house and feed the poor and to cease and desist riding the backs of America’s poor…I’m telling you I am crazy like that…Not a bad crazy but crazy enough to do stuff like that…I voted for Trump I am not ashamed to say I voted for Trump I voted for Trump both terms…I predicted on my blog that Trump would lose the second time around as his reward for his stubborn stiff necked pride and lost ways…Many who are in high office are lost today…Not just poor former President Trump and Nancy Pelosi…Trump N Pelosi are examples of greed and vanity…Poor Nancy Pelosi cannot win for losing…I admire Nancy Pelosi in many respects I admire that woman because she accomplished much in her life…Sadly she reaps the hatred of her own followers who kiss her ass then bite her ass…I do not hate Nancy Pelosi I would love to have a cup of Tea with Nancy Pelosi and listen to her speak…I would be in awe and humbled at such an opportunity…So if Nancy Pelosi ever stumbles upon my blog I would love to invite Nancy Pelosi and Trump N his lovely wife Melania to my humble Irish abode for Tea N Crumpets or Tea N Irish Scones naturally and if they would give me a voice…I would express in my Irish strong voice as a very grateful Immigrant to the USA ways America has lost her way…I would also love to invite Michelle Obama to Tea to hear her perspective and I would challenge Michelle Obama a woman I admire to get along with Trump N Melania and Nancy Pelosi while in my humble abode and I would challenge them to hear the voice of this little Irish mouse a small single mother who is not much at the end of the day just a cog in their political wheel…A “constituent”… I also suggest watching You Tube’s latest unique documentary titled Life in a Day 2020…Tis well worth watching cause I said so…As a thank you for your follows likes and shares and
