This poem titled Thirst Follows Even Ice was authored by Akiane kramarik at age 9 in her book titled My Dream Is Bigger Than I – Memories of Tomorrow – Part Three Page 107. “You will need your own copy of this book to view the full text of this poem. I limit quotes for the purpose of discussion and to follow copyright guidelines that allows for limited quotes.”
This poem Thirst Follows Even Ice consists of four stanzas with seven lines each. All four stanzas open with the same line which I quote here: “Thirst follows even ice—” Which is brilliant as this anchors the poem into a central theme the coldness of the hearts of mankind…The first stanza continues with “The mortal birth of immortal eternity is love at first sight.” This is very profound then Akiane goes on to say in the first stanza “On the eve of our birth we are inside the womb of lullaby—And no one can choose for us the time to be born or to love”….I limit my quotes to this and encourage my readers to purchase your own book for the rest of this incredible poem…Billions today are indifferent not only to their own unborn child or children but to others too. Many murders are done by machine gun style verbal attacks and verbal abuse from “Lips of wars” which I quote to credit Akiane for writing Lips of wars in one of her poems…Verbal attacks go on all the time often done by spineless horrible people who have nothing better to do with their useless time than to gossip about others behind their backs…Many know what I speak of and there are many false friends these days posers who will do anything to gain your trust so that they can crush you by destroying your trust which is the twisted mentality of many twisted sisters and brothers these days…As a thank you for reading this reflection enjoy my song titled Maeve and her lips of wars that I wrote inspired by my own personal experience with a horrible woman named Maeve…Many feel the way I do about vile gossips I simply sing about this stuff…My song opens with these words “Machine gun lips of wars”…..
