The Butterflies – A reflection

This poem titled the Butterflies was authored by Akiane Kramarik at age 7 in Part One of her book titled My Dream is Bigger Than I – Memories of Tomorrow on page 25.   “You will need your own copy of this book to view the full text of this poem.  I limit quotes for the purpose of discussion and to follow copyright guidelines that allows for limited quotes.”

The Butterflies consists of three stanzas each verse has six lines.  I will simply quote the last few lines for it sums up for me the reader the message of this poem.  The last few lines found in the third and last verse:  “The years pass by in just one day and like a blind child I hold on to their wings to fly away.”  The word “their” refers to butterflies and the child holds on to the wings of the butterflies and flies away.  To me this child is lamenting that his or her life was very short in fact so short that the child was not allowed to be born alive.  Hence the line “The years pass by in just one day.”  This is so true for unborn babies aborted via surgical abortion or washed out from hostile wombs caused by contraception and other forms of birth control.  Years are literally destroyed in one day.  Billions of abortions have been done now when you include the fact that contraception not only prevents conception but also causes conceived children to be washed out in blood in forced miscarriages caused by a hostile womb due to contraception.  When mankind allows their own progeny their own offspring their own children to be destroyed by abortion on demand.  Mankind wipes out whole futures in one day.  Mankind wipes out future scientists, doctors writers etc.  Children who could have grown up and made our world a better place and fulfilled their role God had planned for them.  Instead their lives are snuffed out like a candle not given a chance to breath the air of the earth they were destined to be born into. The travesty the jarring reality of abortion is far reaching and overwhelming for the minds of most modern men and women to be able to grasp.  The same is true of contraception which has annihilated nations as well.  Abortion and contraception alone as annihilated many nations more than all the world wars combined.
